Broth Brothers Edmonton™

YESS (Youth Emergency Shelter Society) has been providing shelter, safety and hope to homeless and at-risk youth since 1982. Since its beginnings as a single short-term emergency dorm, the agency has grown exponentially – YESS currently offers a full range of short-and-long-term accommodation options, counselling for youth and families in crisis, and support for struggling teens to build their skills and take control of their lives. The organization serves an average of 2000 young people each year, empowering them to achieve independence, confidence, and stability.

Broth Brothers is proud to add one more level of support to the youth at YESS that comes directly from community people and sends a message of support and belief in their potential. Our very simple gift of a nurturing bowl of soup exemplifies our foundational belief that community members can make a significant difference for young people who have too often been excluded and rejected. Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers know that young people respond positively when their community shows compassion and takes an interest in them, and we have been thanked by kids for the opportunity to eat healthy.

Broth Brothers encourages group bookings of all kinds, from corporate groups to couples nights, family events, private parties, etc. The possibilities are endless and require only a commitment by the group to make the very best soups they can for the young people at YESS.

All Edmonton Broth Brothers events will take place at Sunterra Market, Commerce Place where a professional chef will facilitate the making of approximately 200-350 servings of soup that will be delivered fresh to YESS each month.
