Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers Edmonton

Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers Edmonton proudly support women, childen and youth in crisis in partnership with Sunterra Market. and in support of WIN House and YESS. (Youth Emergency Shelter Society)

Edmonton Women's Shelter Ltd. known as WIN House, is a non-profit agency operating three shelters, WIN House I, WIN House II, and WIN House III.

All 3 WIN Houses are delighted by this opportunity to receive gifts of nourishing food for women and children that need immediate safety and practical necessities. This demonstration of support by Soup Sisters and Sunterra Foods will give women and children the knowledge that their community stands with them in a time of crisis as they access resources in order to better their circumstances. (Sandra Danco, Past Executive Director).

YESS (Youth Emergency Shelter Society) has been providing shelter, safety and hope to homeless and at-risk youth since 1982. Since its beginnings as a single short-term emergency dorm, the agency has grown exponentially – YESS currently offers a full range of short-and-long-term accommodation options, counselling for youth and families in crisis, and support for struggling teens to build their skills and take control of their lives. The organization serves an average of 2000 young people each year, empowering them to achieve independence, confidence, and stability.

Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers encourages group bookings of all kinds, from corporate groups to couples nights, family events, private parties, etc. The possibilities are endless and require only a commitment by the group to make the very best soups they can for our recipients.

All Edmonton events will take place at Sunterra Market, Commerce Place where a professional chef will facilitate the making of approximately 200-350 servings of soup that will be delivered fresh to WIN House and YESS each month.
