Milton Soup Sisters

Soup Sisters Milton launched on September 5, 2017, and we welcomed Milton as our 24th Soup Sisters chapter.

We proudly support Halton Women's Place, a safe haven for women and their children who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse. Halton Women's Place is dedicated to increasing public awareness of domestic violence by providing education in the hope of ending violence against women and children.

At this time we are currently seeking a new culinary partner in order to continue our 'Hug in a Bowl' support to women and their children who are victims of domestic violence at Halton Women's Place. If you are an established Culinary Institute, Cooking School or certified commercial kitchen please contact us at info@soupsisters.org to find out how to become a Soup Sisters Culinary partner for our soup-making events.

Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers charge a participation fee per person to cover the expenses of ingredients for the soups, the venue, equipment, supervision, and a Chef or professional facilitator. This ensures that the finest ingredients possible are used every time for the soups we provide to women, children and youth. Events are social evenings with lively conversation, chopping, laughter and warm kitchen camaraderie that culminate in a simple, sit-down supper of soup, salad, bread and wine for all participants. Each event produces approximately 150-250 servings of fresh soup that sustains your local shelter with nourishing and nurturing soup each month.
