We need your support to bring Soup Sisters to new communities and to keep the soup flowing to Shelters across Canada.
The Soup Sisters concept has touched a chord across the country with calls coming in weekly from individuals and groups interested in setting up Soup Sisters operations in their cities. While Soup Sisters events are self-sustaining through the $50 participation fee, there are significant start-up costs to get Soup Sisters up and running in each new city. The overall start-up cost per city is approximately $1850 - $2450, which includes the following specific materials:
• Soup Freezer for the Shelter - $600
• 150 - 250 Re-usable Glass Bowls $900 - $1500
• 1000 Labels for soup bowls - $150
• 500 plastic ‘to go’ containers - $400
Soup Sisters is an innovative social marketing and community building program that is 100% volunteer driven and creates opportunity to dialogue with thousands of new people to raise awareness about family violence. Groups across the country have been able to transform their contributions into a meaningful experience and a tangible way to give at our soup making events.
With your support, we can launch Soup Sisters operations from Coast to Coast and provide the start-up requirements to begin soup making in cities across the country.
Once launched, each new Soup Sisters will be self-sustaining through its local members from the community in which it operates.
Please consider making a donation to Soup Sisters so that we can 'create a stir' in our communities across the country. With your help, Soup Sisters can continue to warm hearts one bowl at a time...
